After many requests, we launched our first bridal shoe in 2023.
Our new comfortable bridal shoe is an updated take on our classic Ruth heel design. Since the Ruth’s debut in September 2020, our classic shoe has gained a loyal base of fans. Customers keep coming back and buying more pairs in different colors. And then we heard from our brides-to-be. Their need was resounding - a comfortable bridal shoe that didn’t sacrifice style.
Luckily, we could turn to our friend and bridal-expert Lily Kaiser, the founder of . Lily runs the most stunning vintage salon in LA (and now New York!) with an incredible selection of bridal pieces. Happy Isles really understands the modern bride so they were the dream partner for our first foray into the world of weddings. Together, we took the tried-and-true design of the Ruth shoe and gave it a bit of a bridal twist. Cream satin replaced the usual suede material, and we added a rhinestone buckle for that subtly festive embellishment.
This wasn’t just about creating another shoe. It was about listening to what women want to wear on their wedding day. Between the ceremony, photos and dancing - a wedding is a long day for a bride to spend on her feet. Inevitably, there are blisters, sore heels, twisted ankles, swollen toes and the joy of this special day is just a little clouded by throbbing feet. But it doesn’t need to be that way. We’ve created a heel that doesn’t sacrifice comfort for style. It will take you down the aisle to your first dance to the afterparty with total joy and utter chicness.

It is also worth mentioning how the original Ruth shoe took shape. When brainstorming the original design back in 2020, we wanted to create a shoe that embodied resilience, elegance, and a touch of unconventionality. We wanted the Ruth shoe to empower the woman who wore them and our bridal shoe is just the next chapter of this goal. Just like every powerful woman, every bride has other things to worry about than whether her shoes are comfortable. Let’s let her focus on the important stuff.
